Mr. Basketball Inc. contracts experienced basketball officials to officiate our youth and high school events. We are fortunate to have a large group of veteran officials from across the state that work our events each year. We have scheduling formats that allow officials to work 3, 4, 6 or 8 games per day, depending on the age level of the teams in the event.
Our youth and team camp events provide an outstanding training ground for young officials to gain experience and make contacts in the officiating community. We’ve had many officials that started working for us as college students who have moved up through the ranks and have gone on to work at the state tournament. Please contact us if you have an interest in working the Mr. Basketball & Miss Basketball tournaments in Kearney and Central Nebraska.
Our game day staff is key to the reputation we have developed for hosting the best organized events. On game day, we may have as many as 100 individuals working as site supervisors, gate staff, scorekeepers and athletic trainers at multiple facilities.
Our site supervisors are often high school coaches, teachers and others who have an interest in athletics and most have worked at our events for 5-10 years in various capacities. Site supervisors are at their assigned gym from start to finish each day of the event and provide valuable experience managing the game day activities at their facility.
We provide opportunities for high school and college student/athletes with an interest in working in the athletics arena as scorekeepers and gate staff. Contact our office if you are interested in working upcoming events.
The Dakota Showcase tournament officials are high school and college officials who are assigned by an our staff with assistance from a local assignor. If you have an interest in working, please contact us.
