2016 Kanon Koster Kearney Cats Koster, a 6-3 junior-to-be, helped the Kearney Cats to a perfect  record and their first Dakota Showcase championship. He led his team and the platinum division in scoring, averaging 23.7  points per game. As a prep at Kearney HS in Nebraska he was named the Kearney Hub Player-of-the Year in 2015-16 .

 

2015 Chad Barkema Dakota Bucks Barkema, a 6-5 senior-t0-be, helped the Dakota Bucks to a perfect 6-0 record and their first Dakota Showcase championship, averaging 17.3 point per game. As a prep at Sioux Falls Christian HS he was named All-State and All-Conference. He averaged 23 points during his high school season to go along with 11 rebounds and 5 assists.

 

2014 Romeo Bouie Wisconsin Playground Warriors Bouie, a 6-4 senior-to-be, helped guide the Wisconsin Playground Warriors their second consecutive Dakota Showcase championship, averaging 14.8 point per game. As a prep at Racine St. Catherine’s HS he was named honorable mention All-State, All-County and All-State division four, helping his team to a 19-6 record. He averaged 15.8 points during his high school season to go along with 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

 

2013 Cam Ward & Dakota Oskey Wisconsin Playground Warriors The duo of Ward and Oskey helped guide the Wisconsin Playground Warriors to perfect record of 6-0 and the championship, averaging 10.8 and 12.2 point per game respectively. Ward, a three-time conference player-of-the-year and All-State selection, averaged 24 points during his high school season at Marshall High School. Oskey, a 6-4 wing for Seymour High School, averaged 17 points en route to first-team All-Conference honors in 2012.

 

2012 Tim Wagner Wisconsin Jets Wagner, a 6-3 senior-to-be, averaged 17.67 points as he helped guide the Wisconsin Jets to the championship with his sharp shooting. The All-Conference performer for Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in Wisconsin knocked down 26 three-point field goals during the event.

 

2011 Kyle Kilgore SW Minnesota Stars 17 Kilgore, a 6-7 senior, helped guide the SW Minnesota Star 17 team to the championship with solid defense and 9.8 points per contest on a balanced squad. An Adrian High School product is a two-time All-Conference performer. 2011 All-Tournament Team

 

2010 Dylan Stewart The Wrath Stewart, a 6-3 senior guard, led The Wrath in scoring, averaging 12.8 pointer per contest. An Eden Prairie High School product, he helped them to the semifinals at the State Tournament in 2010. 2010 All-Tournament Team

 

2009 James Hajek Alegent Crusaders I Hajek, an Omaha Skutt product, was on of six players for the Alegent Crusaders I to average nine points or more during the Dakota Showcase, scoring 9.7 per contest. The 6-8 senior-to-be helped guide the Crusaders to their second Dakota Showcase title. 2009 All-Tournament Team

 

2008 Emmanuel Addo Minnesota Magic Robertson Addo, a 6-8 senior-to-be, was a consistent contributor as Minnesota Magic Robertson picked up their first Dakota Showcase title. Addo, an All-Conference selection, averaged 14.0 points for Northfield High School. In the Dakota Showcase Addo averaged 10.7 points. 2008 All-Tournament Team

 

2007 Brennan Cougill Iowa Barnstormers Cougill, a 6-9 junior-to-be, led the 16 & Under Barnstormers to the Dakota Showcase title, averaging 16.7 points per game. Cougill scored 21 in the final, going head-to-head with DI recruit Colton Iverson. Cougill averaged 15 points and 10 boards as a sophomore for Sioux City Heelan. 2007 All-Tournament Team

 

2006 Justin Stommes Minnesota Glory Stommes, a  6-7 swingman, averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds for Rocori High School during his junior year. A senior to be, Stommes paced the Minnesota squad with 15 points per game during the Dakota Showcase. He scored ten points in the championship game as the Minnesota Glory finished the tournament a perfect 6-0. He has signed with NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky. 2006 All-Tournament Team

 

2005 Michael Tveidt Dakota Schoolers I The 1st Team All-Stater averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds for Pierre Riggs High, which finished 5th in Class AA. Tveidt averaged 16.4 points and earned all-tournament honors in the 2004 Dakota Showcase and averaged 14.3 points in the 2005 event. He scored 22 points in an 89-82 championship win over the Omaha Crusaders. He has signed with NCAA Division I North Dakota St. 2005 All-Tournament Team

 

 

2004 Michael Jenkins Omaha Crusaders I Jenkins, a 6-3 wing from Bellevue West High School averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds as a junior for the Thunderbirds, who finished 23-2 and state champs. He was named 2nd Team All-State. The fourth-leading scorer in the Dakota Showcase, Jenkins averaged 17.0 per game while leading the Crusaders to the title. Jenkins has signed with the University of Nebraska-Omaha. 2004 All-Tournament Team

 

2003 Colby Fitzgerald Dakota Schoolers I Fitzgerald, a 6-2 guard from Dell Rapids, SD (St. Mary’s) led the Dakota Schoolers to their first Mr. Basketball title. He averaged 20.8 points per game during the Dakota Showcase. A first team all-stater, he led St. Mary’s to a third place finish in the 2003 SD state tournament. He played at the University of South Dakota. 2003 All-Tournament Team

 

2002 Matt Ohme Minnesota Select Gold Ohme, a 6-2 point guard from Bloomington’s Jefferson High led the Minnesota Select to the title of the 2002 Dakota Showcase with a 19 point effort vs. the Slamfest Stars (Neb.) in the final. He averaged 13.5 points per game during the event. He averaged 10 points a game as a junior for the 26-4 state runner up squad at Jefferson. 2002 All-Tournament Team

 

2001 Brett Seger Tournament Gold I Seger, a 6-3 guard from Omaha, Nebraska, averaged 19.0 points per game in leading his team to the 2001 Mr. Basketball title. He tallied 15 points in the championship win over the Dakota Schoolers. Seger averaged 23.1 points per game as a senior at Omaha Westside High School and was a first team all-stater. He has signed to play at NCAA Divison I Denver University. 2001 All-Tournament Team
